The Dual Language English Immersion (DLEI) program has been developed to deliver a quality bilingual education for Hispanic students. The program’s main objective is to provide students with literacy and content instruction primarily in English, utilizing a sheltered academic environment where they can use Spanish to ask questions and read course materials in the language of their choice.

While the student achieves college-level proficiency in English, Spanish skills are also refined to accomplish professional oral competency as well. The development of communication skills in both languages results in a bilingually prepared graduate who can compete effectively in today’s multi-cultural society.
